One of the most important days on the Australian Calendar is here! Van Diemen’s is in the mood to celebrate our first Australia Day here on La Cours Saleya and we need you to help us do it in style. We are putting out a call to everyone, not just Aussies, to come and help us celebrate the culture, food, music and most of all mateship. All things that make ‘Straya, ‘Straya.


We are holding a big raffle in aid of bushfire victims, particularly Koalas. There are going to be tons of prizes: including Bar-tabs, 6-packs of VB and even a bottle of Bundy! All proceeds to go to our campaign to adopt some Koalas! Tickets are on Sale now from Van Diemen’s. Prices are: 5 for €5.00 15 for €10.00 Draw will be at 17:00 on the 26th of January at Van Diemen’s. You have to be there to collect your prizes.


We will also have classic Aussie movies all day on our kick-arse A/V system. Imagine this: The Castle in surround sound on 4 screens at once. How’s the serenity?

What would Australia be like without the Hottest 100. This year we are going to have the complete Hottest-Hunj from mid-day ’til whenever it finishes. It’s going to be the greatest music from the year 2019, just like you get it back home.


Our Chef, Tanya presents you with a classic signature dish, which combines all of the finest, carefully sourced ingredients into a medley of flavour and texture, which embodies authentic Australian cuisine. Van Diemen’s Surf & Turf has the finest quality beef filet, cooked to perfection topped with a creamy mornay sauce complemented by locally sourced calamari, mussels and prawns. An oven-baked potato topped with sour cream offers a hearty element to this dish and offers a healthy alternative to fries. The finely dressed salad adds colour and crispness to the dish with crisp salad leaves , tomatos and peppers. Ask our staff for the perfect wine or beer to accompany your Van Diemen’s Surf & Turf.

Van Diemen’s in collaboration with Dime On Music and Radio Monaco are proud to present “Entre les ondes”, a monthly radio show which will explore contemporary music all before a live audience. We will be featuring DJs, live bands and commentary all from the unique glass stage at one of Nice’s premier music venues. Check the Events page for times and current info.
